Filippousis Georges has obtained a Ph.D. degree from the University of Crete. He has completed postgraduate studies at the University of Athens on “Information Technology in Education” and he has been teaching in Primary Private Education since 1995.

He is a certified contributor to various educational programs, an adult educator and a scientific partner at conferences and educational journals.

He is actively involved in Information and Communication Technologies in education, he has obtained many diplomas related to technologies and has developed educational software.

He has been awarded by the Ministry of Education, Microsoft Hellas and the British Council for his innovative actions. He has been recognized by Microsoft’s Partner in Learning Program as one of the 500 Best Innovative Teachers in the World (2011), Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator, Microsoft Innovative Expert Fellow, Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer, and Microsoft Certified Educator.

He is a certified Educator National Geographic. Also, he has been certified as Common Sense Educator and Ambassador, as official Ambassador of Wakelet, as trainer director and trainer Reallusion (Crazy talk, Crazy talk animation).

He has participated in several training seminars, conferences and workshops. He has published several publications in international journals, conference proceedings and also, he has written two books for primary school students on ICT what’s more he has made contributions to scientific conferences and workshops.

In addition, he has participated in scientific and organizational committees of conferences and workshops, in Innovative University programs and he is a member of scientific networks.

He is a scientific associate of the “Laboratory of Advanced Learning Technologies in Lifelong and Distance Learning” (EDIVEA.ORG) of the Pedagogical Department of the University of Crete.
